The Teen Support Group (TSG) Organization, in collaboration with the Supreme Secondary Learners Government (SSLG) , English teachers, and the guidance staff, organized the Career Guidance Summit 2026.

With the theme โ€œShaping Future: Empowering Learners for College and Career Success,” the event was held at Kwang Myung Gymnasium of New Society National High School on March 10, 2026.

Guidance Councilor Dindo V. Salamanca emphasized that the program was conducted to provide Grade 10 and Grade 12 students with guidance in selecting appropriate academic and career paths, with the goal of preventing job mismatches in the future.

“Career guidance summit is actually mandated by the Department of Education; we have to conduct that yearly. Because knowing that we are in the academ, our students must be prepared for their future careers in life,” Salamanca expressed.

Salamanca added that simple career guidance activities help students visualize their future professions and motivate them to achieve their goals. Students are also prepared for the future by learning how to write application letters and answer interview questions.

“We wanted to address job mismatch or skill mismatch, pero dapat kung ano yung hilig mo yun ang gusto mo yun ang dapat makukuha mo.”
